2008 Oakland A’s Season Blog, The Exodus (14-9)

by

We’re gonna keep this thing short again today but expect big things this weekend.  The A’s continue to roll at home after taking the series with authority on Thursday night.  An 11-2 drubbing of the Twins keeps the A’s in a tie for first with the Angels.

Donnie Murphy went yard twice and Greg Smith was ridiculous again.  A lead off homer was about all the Twins got off Smith.  The youngster has looked real good so far.  I love the way he pitches.  Good command and he throws a lot of strikes.  Keep doing that young man and you’ll be around a while.

Like I said, keeping it short today in hopes that this weekend we can dig in and get a recap of the season so far.  We’ll be about 25 games in this weekend so it seems like a good time to reset.  Until then, enjoy the games, enjoy some brews, and if you know a good softball batting cage in the South East, e-mail me pronto.

Keep on going and the chances are you will stumble on something, perhaps when you are least expecting it. I have never heard of anyone stumbling on something sitting down.
