This train just keeps on rollin’. The A’s have won the series on the road from the Indians by piling up the runs again. A 7-3 win on Saturady night makes it five in a row for baseball’s second hottest team (D-Back have won EIGHT! in a row in case you hadn’t noticed).
The A’s got 5 solid innings out of Lenny “Friggin'” DiNardo and the bullpen did a good job of cleaning up again. Bobby Crosby hit a 3-run shot to give the ‘pen a bit of breathing room. Otherwise, the A’s just played decent ball. They were outhit in the game 8 to 7 and made a couple errors, but good (not great) pitching has carried the green and gold thus far this year.
One more in Cleveland before battling the White Sox for two days. The boys took the one in Cleveland that I thought they needed to; if they pull out a win tomorrow afternoon that’ll be icing on the cake. Then, just grab one of two from the Sox in Chi-Town and come on home boys. Until then, enjoy the games, enjoy some brews, and if you happen to know a DH that has more total bases than strikeouts (unlike Jack Cust) e-mail me pronto.
