Last night, in the midst of an ugly game battling a scrappy UNC-Asheville team with a 7′6″ monster clogging the middle, Chris Lofton tied and passed Allan Houston’s all time 3FG made mark. His 4-12 night behind the arc puts his total at 349, 3 ahead of Houston, and 18 behind Pat Bradley’s all-time SEC mark–which will soon fall as well.
So far this is my favorite.
JJ Redick’s NCAA record 457 is probably safe, with Lofton needing to average 5.5 makes a game to surpass it in this, his senior season.

Everyone looks really happy in that picture except for the guy on the far right in the gray sweatshirt. Maybe Lofto doinked his boy, er, girlfriend.
