Twenty one wins in twenty two games. In baseball. The Colorado Rockies are ridiculous people.
In the last month, the Rockies won nearly one third as many games as the Devil Rays won all year. For an entire calendar month, the Rockies won over 95% of the games they played. To cap it all off they go out and sweep both the NLDS and NLCS.
The Rockies have put together a miraculous run, but for just a few things the Rockies haven’t done this year, follow the jump.
They have not beaten two pre-season top ten college football teams including one while the team was ranked #1. (Wildcats)
They have not started 1-6 on the season and soon to be 1-7. (Fighting Irish)
They have not continually made an ass out of themselves on national television. (Lou Holtz)
They have not been the subject of a ridiculous biography. (Big Z)
They did not single handedly shut down a beautiful web site devoted to lovely young ladies. (Nick “The Devil” Saban)
They did not break the all time home run and hat size records for a single player. (B.B.)
They have not went on national television pretending that they are a retarded magician. (Lou Holtz)
They have not been made out to be the biggest ass hole on the planet in a court of law. (Isiah)
They have not used the disabled list approximately 3,768 times. (Oakland A’s)
They did not sit one of their best players in the most important game of their season. (U.S. Women’s Soccer)
So you see, the Rockies have not only played out of their asses the last month, they’ve also avoided a lot of classic pitfalls that take down good sports figures. We salute you Colorado, for all you’ve done and all you will do. Just try not to let Lou Holtz give you a pep talk before the Series.

Dear Hope Solo,
Do you take of your goalie gloves before you go to bed?

@TGC – That is hilarious. Takin it way back.
This run by the Rockies very much resembles a run by 5 LGM kids on the Blue Courts a couple of summers ago.

If they can push it to 100 games in a row, I will truly be impressed.
